Sleep Slope
Privacy Policy
Effective 4 August 2026 · Last updated 24 September 2026
Sleep Slope (“the app”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what the app handles, what leaves your device, and what does not.
1. No account required
The app does not require an account. You are never asked for your name, email address, phone number, or postal address, and the developer never receives them.
2. Information stored only on your device
The following stays on your device. It is never sent to the developer's servers, and the developer cannot see it.
- Your alarm plans (the time you want to be up, your deadline, how many alarms and how far apart, weekday repeats)
- Your wake records (which alarm you got up on, at what time, and how much room you had before your deadline)
- Your display settings
If you have device backups turned on (iCloud, for example), this information is included in those backups. Backups are handled by Apple, and the developer cannot see what is in them.
Deleting the app removes this information from your device. Unless you restore from a backup, it cannot be recovered.
3. Information sent to third-party services
The app uses the following services to operate and to improve.
PostHog (usage analytics)
To understand which screens are used and where people drop out of the purchase flow, the app sends interaction events and general device information — OS version, device model, app version, and a randomly generated identifier — to PostHog, Inc.
What is sent is the type of action, not its content. The wake times, the times you set, and the contents of your records described in section 2 are never transmitted.
PostHog, Inc. privacy policy: https://posthog.com/privacy
RevenueCat (purchase management)
To process a Pro purchase and determine whether you have one, the app sends purchase and renewal history along with a randomly generated identifier to RevenueCat, Inc.
Payment details such as card numbers are handled entirely by Apple. Neither the app nor the developer ever receives them.

Apple
Purchases are made through the App Store and are handled under Apple's privacy policy.
4. Notifications
The app's alarms run entirely on your device, through the operating system's own alarm facility (AlarmKit) and local notifications. Nothing is sent to a server in order to ring them, and no push notification token is obtained or transmitted.
5. Advertising and disclosure to third parties
- The app does not show advertising.
- The app does not use collected information for advertising, and does not sell or share it with third parties.
- The app does not track you, as Apple defines tracking (linking your activity with data from other companies' apps or websites). No App Tracking Transparency permission is requested.
6. Retention
Information described in section 2 remains on your device until you delete the app. Information described in section 3 is retained according to each service's own terms.
7. If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK
If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, or the UK GDPR in the United Kingdom) applies.
Data controller
Tomoe Tsubota, as listed in section 10.
Legal basis
- Usage analytics (PostHog, section 3): your consent. On devices in these regions, “Send usage data” on the app's settings screen is off from the start, and data is sent only if you turn it on. You can withdraw consent at any time by turning the same setting off.
- Purchase management (RevenueCat, section 3): performance of a contract, as it is required to deliver Pro.
International transfers
The companies that run the services in section 3 are based in the United States, and information may be transferred there.
- PostHog, Inc. (United States) has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, including the UK Extension and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and also relies on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or the UK Government.
- RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (and, for the UK, the International Data Transfer Addendum).
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your information, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live. Please send requests to the address in section 10.
Because the app has no accounts and only randomly generated identifiers are sent to these services, we may be unable to identify the information that relates to you. To stop analytics being sent, turn off “Send usage data” on the app's settings screen; nothing further will be sent.
8. Opting out of analytics
Usage analytics (PostHog, section 3) can be turned off at any time with “Send usage data” on the app's settings screen. On devices whose region is set to the EU, the EEA or the UK, it is off from the start. Purchase management (RevenueCat) cannot be disabled, as it is required to deliver Pro.
9. Children
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
